Cabo de Gata Natural Park is demarcated between the municipalities of Almería, Carboneras and Níjar.
San José is the tourist center par excellence, although other localities, such Las Negras, Agua Amarga or Isleta del Moro and Rodalquilar , in the west of the Natural Park, have also undergone great transformations and adaptations in recent years. En the east of Cabo de Gata we find San Miguel, where many of its inhabitants are still engaged in artisanal fishing, and Almadraba de Monteleva, is another small fishing and salt village. And of course, we will find some localities in the interior of great charm: Fernán Pérez, which is the gate of the Park and apart from the resorts, Las Hortichuelas just two kilometers from the coast and also Pozo de los Frailes. We can also add some small tourist center on the beach as los Escullos.
