The municipality of Níjar
is the fourth greatest one of Spain, although
the villa is excluded from the protection
of the park.
Its municipal term goes from the mountainous
areas to the sea, the Cabo de Gata.
One extends from the Alhamilla Mountain
range to the Cabo de Gata, with a straight
distance of 25 km, which gives an idea
of the surface that includes a diversity
and variety of zones of interest that
it has for the visitor.
The town is located at the foot of the
mountain range, forming a great attractive
urban set with a well conserved structure
of Arabic and laberíntic origin
and narrows, linked to the whiteness of
its houses, its church to mudéjar
and by its crafts, this last one, known
for its great diversity.
