Its name comes from the
Al-hawan Arab, who means water location. It
is one of the coastal populations especially
in Nijar.
Still, it maintains part of his fishing
tradition, although it coming to
be a great tourist center of the coast.
However, It´s a very quiet place
where its citiciens enjoy the care of
small gardens and orchards. Also it´s
very interesting for its geology.
The urban nucleus is formed by a group
of simple, white houses, and some hotel
facilities next to the sea; ideal to rest
and to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
